OUR STORY

A Story of Faithfulness

From our beginnings in 1943 through seasons of growth, loss, and rebuilding, God has remained faithful to North Beaver Baptist Church.

Where Our Story Began

North Beaver Baptist Church was organised on January 3, 1943, beginning a journey of worship, fellowship, and service that continues today.

In 1945, construction began on a new church building, and the congregation held its first service there on February 15, 1948.

Over the years, the building grew along with the church family, with improvements including new brickwork, Sunday School rooms, stained glass windows, pews, and songbooks.

We Lost Our Building, But Not Our Faith

On the morning of July 29, 2012, our church building was completely destroyed by an arson fire.

We lost a building that had been part of our story for generations, but we did not lose our faith.

That morning, we gathered at Badger Funeral Home. After two weeks there, Bald Mountain Baptist Church generously offered us the use of their unused facilities while we began to consider what would come next.

God Provided a New Place

As we looked toward the future, planning began for a new church home. Six acres were purchased beside the beautiful New River, and construction began in June 2013.

On June 22, 2014, we gathered for our first service in the new building God had provided.

A dedication service followed on July 20, 2014, giving our church family an opportunity to thank God for His provision and to honour everyone who helped make the new church home possible.

TODAY

Our Story Continues

Today, North Beaver Baptist Church continues to worship, serve, teach, and fellowship together in the place God has provided.

Our story isn't simply about a building. It's about God's faithfulness, a church family that continued to gather, and a faith that endured through difficult seasons.

As we look toward the future, we remain committed to glorifying God and making a positive difference in the lives of people.

We lost our building, but not our faith.

The Next Chapter Is Still Being Written

Generations have worshipped here, and we look forward to seeing what God will continue to do through North Beaver Baptist Church.
